Making the choice; what to remove - or to add
All products you find in a store have in some ways developed from being homemade to industrialized products. In the evolution of a product it is very often common to consider how it can be prepared with lower cost to face competition or demands for higher profit.
If the product is depending on agricultural raw materials, it is dubious that it will be possible lower the raw material cost, so it is common to make a choice; what to remove and what to replace.
Natural raw materials are replaced with artificial aroma or ingredients cheaper than the originals. The result is a product with lower quality, at a lower price. In the end you will be buying a product with the original name, which has very little resemblance with the original product.
Looking at evolution from another point of view; the alternative could be what to add! Now the goal is to make the best possible product and this is the evolution that separated mankind from monkeys.
